I loved this book so so much! Charlotte Lucas for me, was always an underrated character in Pride and Prejudice, I thought she was smart for marrying Mr Collins as she was extremely self aware of her social situation and her own prospects for happiness. This was all conveyed in the book, and the writing style and voice for Charlotte shines through. Not only does this book give Charlotte a voice, but I was also pleasantly surprised at the character of Anne de Burgh who was very well fleshed out, as a character, and is a brilliant character. I also loved the faithful portrayal of Mr Collins in the book, as in Pride and Prejudice the novel he is not nearly as silly, as he is portrayed in the tv series. This book presents an classic with modern current ideas! A brilliant book!
