You are probably familiar with Pride and Prejudice: "'It is a truth universally acknowledged, etc."
I love anything Jane Austen and personally think that this is a great retelling of the classic story, now focusing in an often overlooked character, Elizabeth Bennet's best friend, Charlotte Lucas. The idea of knowing a little more about her was what got my attention initially.
I greatly enjoyed this book, I found it both original and respectful of the original. Yes, some aspects of Charlotte's story may seem... unorthodox... but if you approach it whit an open mind and are curious to know more about what happened to the Bennet family and Charlotte afterwards, I think you will enjoy this book.
