As a huge fan of Pride and Prejudice, I absolutely had to pick this one up.
Charlotte doesn’t get much of a story in Pride and Prejudice other than to be married off to Mr Collins so it was really great to see her fleshed out as a main character in her own right.
It was also great to see Mr Collins in a new light with more emotion rather than the dreary boring man Elizabeth portrays him to be.
As my title suggests, it was a very interesting take on a character we don’t see much of in the original novel but it also makes them feel as though they are completely separate characters with completely different personalities.
I found the story to be slow in some places which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but I just wanted a bit more of a faster pace.
The cover is gorgeous. It’s definitely one I would’ve picked up to see what it was about if I had come across it in a shop.
