I love Pride and Prejudice and was intrigued to hear of this book... This is an imagining of what happens to Charlotte Lucas who marries Mr Collins. We meet Charlotte after she has been married to Mr Collins for a number of years - they have a family and she has settled into the role of the clergymans wife. I really enjoyed being transported back to this world again - some of the same characters are here - Lizzie, Mr Darcy, Lady Catherine De Burgh. It also mirrors some scenes from Pride & prejudice but seen through the eyes of Charlotte which I found really clever and I enjoyed hearing from her point of view . You don't have to have read Pride and Prejudice to enjoy this book although I think it would make it more enjoyable. The Author has also managed to capture the feeling of the era too - there were a couple of ideas that seemed a little far fetched but overall a very good entertaining read
