At first I thought this book was going to be very Regal and hard to grasp the story and after being a little lost at first I was soon intrigued as to how the novel would go.
The loss of Tom clearly hits both parents hard and I feel as though a vivid image of Charlotte has been painted while her husband still remains a bit of a mystery. There is much focus on Charlotte and how she feels at the beginning of the novel but I would definitely have liked to have read on and seen how the novel and the other characters began to take form and show more of their personalities.
