I remember reading Pride and Prejudice many times in my younger years and indeed it is one of the more heavily televised adaptations. I was very intrigued to see where this novel would go and intrigued by the concept of focusing on Charlotte Lucas (or Collins as she became).
I really enjoyed this book and it was as authentic as it could be given the fact that it is by a different author and many many years have passed by.
I liked how the character of Charlotte was developed and gives you more on an insight into the supporting characters from Pride and Prejudice. Of course it wouldn’t be a great sequel without a trip to Pemberley to catch up with the Darcy’s most notably Charlotte’s long time friend Lizzie. It is at this extended visit to Pemberley where most of the adventures take place and for the main body of this novel. I really enjoyed this.
