Once I read the first short impression of the story on Readers First I was totally intrigued by it and jumped in for an opportunity to win a physical copy of it. But once I started reading an actual book, I was a bit thrown off and conflicted by Charlotte’s character and found events in places hard to believe and relate to. I have to be honest with you though and mention that this was my first reimagining story ever read so I am not sure how fair it is to use my voice to review and rate this book.
I must also admit that the narration was nice and the story itself was pleasant to read. I liked that the author presented female characters strong and empowered, however the plot felt a bit slow in places and difficult to keep attention to the story.
No matter how I feel after reading this story I still would recommend this book to all the classic lovers and read this Pride and Prejudice spin off from Charlotte’s point of view.
