I was really looking forward to reading this book. My initial impressions were very positive. I found the premise exciting and the cover and interior design impressive. No doubt there is some beautifully crafted writing in this novel. However, it is let down by some almost unforgivable content such as 'his pride, my hasty prejudice'. Such clunky writing seems to primarily be in speech. This wasn't a deal breaker but definitely interrupted the flow of the story to me and left me with mixed feelings.
I do feel the writing improved as the book moved along and as the story gathered momentum it mattered a little less.
Slightly disappointed but this might be due to my high expectations. I am not sure I would recommend this book to others.
