This book really was a complete joy to read. Centring around the character of Charlotte, we get a glimpse into her Victorian married life. The loss of her son, Tom, causes her deep upset and the book is a journey into her healing, without being morbid. Meeting a very talented musician, she sees that she can live and love again.
