I should first add that I've been desperately craving this book since finishing the second one so that colours my first impression.
Charmcaster gets straight into the story with Kellen and his friends being attacked. You get a lot of humor and a bit of a reminder as to what happened in the last book to break you in.
It works perfectly.
Once again this book looks like its going to be a funny adventure with plenty of moments to make your heart hurt just a little. But in a good way.
