I absolutely love this series of books and Charmcaster is my favourite of the three so far . Great plot ,lots of action a real page turner. Sebastian DeCastell really makes the characters come alive. Kellen , Reichis and Ferius Parfax are travelling to Gitabria when things start to go wrong and they meet religious fanatics seeking a reward for Kellens murder. Luckily Kellen is helped by Ferius who is witty and can outsmart opponents with lots of surprises. Reichis the squirrel car is also a big help and my favourite character. He is brave , murderous , loyal in his own way and provides a lot of the humour in these books . I also think the covers of these books are fantastic and like the progression from each book in the series. Can't wait for book 4!
