As of right now I have so far only read the short chapter sampler provided by the publisher but if it is anything to go by, Charmcaster, the third novel in the Spellslinger series, is set to be as good as, if not better than both Spellslinger and Shadowblack.
Overall, the story is well paced and full of action coupled with some instances of laugh out loud humour.
The world building by the author, Sebastian de Castell, is nothing short of fantastic and his character writing is superb. I find a lot of series and trilogies focus on one or the other but thankfully these books have both.
Through his writing, the author crafts a tale that leaves you wanting to know more, he makes you care about the characters as they journey through the pages of the book.
