A charming festive read, set in a rural countryside location full of secrets, regret and love.
The main charecter has had a poor encounter will love that has meant that she now lives alone, and although she enjoys her own company, she is lonely in the isolated location of her home - so she decides to rent out the annexe - and the man she meets is someone that could easily turn her life upside down.
The characters and their story lines are somewhat predictable, however, it was a beautifully cosy read. I did become invested in the characters lives and I wanted to find out what would happen to them in the end. I enjoy that the books leaves the ending open to the possibility of other books in the series occurring.
The setting was charming, the writing was faultless, I just struggled a little with regards to the predictability of some of the backstories/outcomes.
