I loved Penny's character, she's an ideal leading lady. She is friendly, feisty and a little bit flawed. Henry is the ideal swoon inducing love interest with his own issues and the connection between them is undeniable; I really enjoyed seeing the sparks fly and them finding their way to each other in the end!! As Penny gets closer to Henry's daughter, Daisy, the pair realise that they can't ignore their passion anymore!
The book is packed full of the usual brilliance, I've read so many books by Holly Martin and she never disappoints!! This is the ideal book to curl up with in front of a log burner and devour.
