Meet tuppence meadows aka Penny, she owns Lilac Cottage, on the outskirts of a very small very pretty town, she decides to rent out the small annex attached to her cottage, she was hoping for a young professional woman like herself somebody she could become friends with, seeing as how their kitchens share an adjoining door. Instead what ice sculptor Penny gets is Henry and Daisy a young professional couple or so she believes, she's shocked when they arrive to find that Henry's wife is a child she's horrified and calls him a pervert, but it very quickly emerges with a lot of hilarity and food throwing that Daisy is actually Henry's daughter, born when he himself was only sixteen years old, Daisy was abandoned by her flighty mother but raised by her wonderfully doting dad, a really lovely feel good Christmas read!!
