An amazing book, I fell in love with the characters straight away, you can see Penny and Henry fall in love, it's a beautiful story, of a wonderful single dad Henry, he moves to the annex of lilac cottage owned by Penny, His teenage daughter Daisy loves lilac cottage, and Bernard the fat lazy old dog of Penny's.
There are lots of wonderful characters like Penny's lovely housekeeper and her best friend Maggie, Henry gets a wonderful job at an amazing company, but it's slightly soured by the bosses sister, who holds no role in particular, there have been bad rumours but nothing ever proved, it has such a wonderful happy ending, I almost cried happy tears, I fell completely in live with this book and you will too it's wonderful, Holly Martin is an amazing author.
