I need a complicated and interesting read currently, and I'm so happy that City of Spies is up for a raffle! The beginning sets the scene and wastes absolutely no time at making an intense opening. I was pulled into the story immediately, and I'm ready to sit through the ride of this crazy journey with Michael and Cécile. This great beginning contained an already established setting, neighbors/friends are ratting each other out, and a constant and inevitable threat. But we musn't underestimate Cecilé, especially considering how easily she can avoid dangerous waters. But sometimes she has to get her hands dirty to do that! But tragedy can hit anywhere, just like the train, and she'll have to maneuver a vicious society and foes along the way.
