I thought this book was incredible in every sense. I found it really gripping and compelling. I didn’t really want to put it down until I found out exactly what had happened.
For me, the plot is well developed and maintained throughout. The ending was just as good as the start. Sometimes with this genre of book the ending can be weaker but this was absolutely not the case.
I also found the characters really good too. The main character, Elizabeth (but with many different names and disguises) was full of grit and power. I really found myself on her side from the start.
The historical links were also nicely played out. It isn’t a work of historical fiction where you are bogged down in facts and maps but there’s nice touches to what was happening politically at the time of WW2.
In conclusion, this book will take you on a journey where nothing is as it seems and you never quite know whose side to be on until the very end. Loved it!
