I loved this book from the first page. The style of writing was easy to follow and the handy list of characters at the front was a nice quick reference guide to flick back to if I needed it. I found the plot gripping and it was great to read a story that had a strong female lead!
I found the first third of the book to be a page turner however the middle third was a little slow and drawn out in times. This then picked back up for the final third and even though this book isn’t published yet I’m already wanting the next instalment!
I loved Elisabeth/Solange as a character. I was feeling her sadness following a characters death within the first few chapters and I was questioning her morals alongside her when she fell for the German Abwehr. Some characters were a little more difficult to love however I feel this was intentional by the author who doesn’t always reveal their true intentions.
I can’t wait to read more of Elisabeth/Solange’s adventures and the author has already hinted the next book will be about her and other female special ops spies undermining German operations ahead of the Normandy landings (I CAN’T WAIT!)
