I was looking forward to this book as was about a female spy in World War 2 and wasn't disappointed.
Elisabeth de Mornay is an Special Operations Executive agent who has to flee Paris when her cover is blown and ends up in Lisbon, Portugal which was supposed to a neutral country in the war. Her assignment is to pose as Solange Verin, a wealthy French widow and mix to find out who is leaking information to the Germans on the British troops movements. But in this city no one is whom they seem so there is loads of action and twists and turns. The characters were interesting and exciting and easily visualised. The story was left that there may be another book in the series. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves historical fiction
