This isn't a usual book I'll pick up but I saw this on here a few weeks ago and it won me over.
I loved the idea and really genuinely enjoyed the first part of the book. The main protagonist is an absolute queen, so wise, smart, fun and kind hearted. The romantic parts really had me and I really loved the beginning.
Gradually though I started to lose interest, it lost me mid way when she turned up in Lisbon. I was gutted because I was really sucked into the story line and wanted to know more. As the chapters went by though it wasn't really holding my attention anymore and almost dwindled into a read that I skim read and skipped pages, realising I wasn't really missing much.
I did like Maras writing, but it just became samey and long, with a plot full of spies, lies and action there wasn't actually much going on and became more of a romantic interest instead.
