What a starter
When I did a first impressions I thought this book would be good.
Even more so I was able to read it early as I won the book through Readers First. When I received it I was at the beginning of a very large book and not being an excessively fast reader it was some time before I cold pick it up to read.
When I did, I found I couldn't put it down. Having been to Portugal and visited the Lisbon area the descriptive passages reminded me of that visit to the point I would love to go back there.
This is definitely a more updated type of spy novel, from the likes of John le Carre, Len Deighton and Craig Thomas, having a softer side to it making it an easier read.
I would certainly recommend it as I have now passed the book to my wife and have suggested she reads it.
If this is the first in a series I cannot wait for the next installment. Hopefully not too long in the future.
