The blank verse style is rather overwhelming at first but I settled into it. It made me slow down my reading, letting the impact of each phrase hit me in the way the author probably intended. Great cover with lovely colours shows the vibrancy of the novel.
I've just realised (from the style of the cover) that I've already read a novel by Elizabeth Acevedo and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I look forward to reading this one.
