Although this is aimed at younger readers, I found the cover and synopsis appealing. On first glance, I didn't expect this book to be a verse novel so I was somewhat surprised by the extract. I found the extract difficult to get into, mainly because of way it was written. Consequently, I don't feel that this book is for me but it may be of interest to other readers.
