A one-sitting read!
Wow, what a book. I read the entire thing in one-sitting! First time reading a book that has been written in verse and it most certainly won’t be the last. 🤩
It’s a story that follows the grief and tragedy experienced by Camino and Yahaira after they lose their father unexpectedly in a plane crash. Little do they know that their father had been keeping a secret from them, the fact that they were half sisters, living in different countries not knowing the other existed.
This book was so beautifully written and explores a lot of different issues. It’s emotional, raw and will definitely pull at your heart strings! ❤️
I would highly recommend this as a great book to start with if you’re interested in reading verse. I found it easy to follow and quick to read while remaining extremely grasping, leaving me not wanting to put it down. I can’t wait to read more books by Elizabeth Acevedo!
