When I read the first part of this book in my 'first look' I wasn't sure it would suit my tastes. I find poetry really difficult to read because of the breaks in text and I am less inspired to pick it up. But when given the chance to read the book I was adamant i would give it a proper go. I read a little under half of the book and while I enjoy the characters and think their personalities really shine through in 'Clap Before You Land' this is where my interest faded. I perhaps haven't read far enough to really be affected by the grief and loss and emotions seemingly present in the book and therefore will defnitiely be picking it up again at some point. It just wasn't the book I fancy reading right now.
