Firstly I want to mention that this is mot my usual type of book at all and it was very different reading this book for me! With that said I very much enjoyed reading this book as it was unique for me reading a book thats written in verse.
Its a novel about grief and family and how the death of their father brings two sisters who didn’t know of each other together. This bond that grows throughout the book is lovely to see! The book had a somewhat big impact on me as it tackled sensitive issues such as sexual assault and grief. However the impact on me that it had was not as huge as I thought it would have been given the issues at hand. I loved the culture this book invited the reader into and loved learning about it all wether it was the good or the bad. I feel like I also need to mention the fact I absolutely love the front cover as well, its very eye catching and has a lovely colour scheme.
To conclude, I may read verse again and look forward to seeing what this author does in the future!
