“They don’t do that as much anymore. This must be a plane of Dominicans returning home; when you touch down on this soil, you must clap when you land. Para dar gracias a Dios. Regresamos.”

Clap when you land is the story of two sisters, who share a very complicated father. He was divided into two different people and changed his own behaviour depending on where he was; Dominican Republic with Camino or States with Yahaira. I love the story and the way the book is written. It is so easy to read and you can’t put the book down, once you start reading. I read the book in two days and now I want a second one. It would be the best gift from the author, to see how the two girls are doing, how their lives turned out.

I loved the scene where all four women decided to stand together against El Cero. It was a powerful moment and I loved it. Women need to stand together and support each other, a powerful and heart-warming message.
