So, i had super high expectations for this book after seeing it all over bookstagram. I love a YA book more than anyone and so i was very excited. Nevertheless, this book just did not live up to my expectations.
I don't think i was a fan of the writing style, with it being in verse. I know a lot of people are a fan of this but i think its not for me. I enjoyed the plot and loved the characters, i just didn't feel connected to them. I also felt like the story was rushed towards the end and it could have gone further. I didn't feel as connected to the book as i usually like to be, i think perhaps this is why i didn't enjoy it as much. I like to be captivated.
Overall, i gave this book a 3 star rating, but i would probably push this to 3.5 realistically. I didn't hate the book, nor did i love it. I also wouldn't let this put you off reading it as so many people rave about this one.
