Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo is such a unique story. Told by interchanging narration of two sisters (half-sisters) that have never met, it also has a very specific and unique formatting of the story. But I loved it and I enjoyed it very much. It was heartbreaking at moments, and you really felt the emotions both girls were going through, but it was an important story and it had touched upon some heavy topics: like dealing with grief, moving on, and sexual harassment. Both sisters had to grew up rapidly losing their father in the plane crash and finding about each other's existence, and you can see the different by the end of the story. But most importantly, you can see that they both, though raised in very different cultures, have cared about people around them very much.
