I listened to this on audiobook, which was really well narrated! Elizabeth Acevedo is one the narrators and she is such a great narrator.
The writing style is very unique, the story is told in verse, it's very beautiful and lyrical, especially to hear rather than read. I'll definitely be picking up more by this author as she has such a great writing style!
Both sister's perspectives were interesting and very different. (though it is tricky to tell who is who on the audio) Seeing their completely different lives intertwine over the loss of their father was both tragic and beautiful.
The story is heart breaking and emotional. It will definitely pull on your heart strings.
