Besides from the book, the first thing I noticed was the iconic cover, as it reminded me of other books I had read, for example 'With The Fire On High.' Sure enough, after reading the author's name I realised that this book is also written by her!
Now, onto the plot and story. Similar to Elizabeth's other works, the book follows determined girls, who are consistently willing to prove the world what they have. As previously mentioned in other reviews, these kind of characters provide and fill me with so much joy as it is so important to see strong girls in media, whether that be books, films or anywhere else.
Lastly, the writing of the book also gave me so much passion, it is written in a sort of poetry style, a style that I love!
