I just recently finished this one the other day and after reading the authors other two books I had really high expectations for this one. But for me it was just an average read, I liked it but I didn't love it if that makes sense!!
I really enjoyed the writing style of this one, it is written in verse and I think that is one of my favourite writing styles. I find it so easy to read. I liked the main characters. But the storyline just seemed a bit too slow for me and flat during some places. The book covers grief and the different characters in terms of how it is affecting them, split into sections of one day after, twenty days after etc etc. And I think it was a really accurate portrayal of grief and losing a parent and how people cope with it but yes I did just feel a little bored in some places like nothing was really happening. Maybe I had too high expectations
