I read this book in a little over a day, and usually I am quite a slow reader! The writing style being in verse made the book very quick paced but also acted as a way to really feel like you were in the heads of the protagonists. This book was emotional in the right ways and was a heartwarming story about two sisters who don't know of the other's existence and it is them trying to figure out who they are separately and who they are together as sisters, which brings in themes of sisterly friendship to the text. Elizabeth Acevedo's writing is absolutely gorgeous and I'm really excited to read more from her in the future. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a quick but impactful read. I am honestly surprised that I haven't seen more people talking about it, I just bought it on a whim because I thought the cover art was gorgeous - this book should be given a lot more love.
