I really loved Clap When You Land, particularly the style of writing. I hadn't read any books in verse before and this was a great way to start - it’s now one of my favourite styles of books!
Due to it being written in verse, it was a very quick read and I read it all in one sitting as I just couldn’t put it down.
I loved the development of characters as the story went on, and how the book swapped between two different perspectives - another fave of mine. The book dealt with such big themes throughout, which I thought was even more impressive as I thought it could be difficult to do when writing in verse.
I would recommend this book to anyone who hasn’t picked up a book in verse before, or someone who has and wants to read something similar.
This was the authors first book that I read and I have since picked up her others as I enjoyed this one so much. I’m looking forward to any future releases as I would automatically pick them up!
