A tale written in verse that follows Camino who cannot wait for when her father visits her in the Dominican Republic, however on this visit there are crowds of people are crying at the airport. Back in New York, Sahara is called into the principal's office where she meets her mother who tells her that her father has passed away in a plane crash. The two sister's separation and circumstances forces them to come together and meet for the first time.

I was so excited for this book as it is one of bookstagram's favourites. This was my second book that I've read that has been written in verse and really like it on my first experience. Unfortunately, this story written in verse just didn't work out for me. I just didn't really like I was connected to the characters or the plot and wonder whether I would have enjoyed it more if it was written in verse?
