This was a different kind of book. I enjoyed it even thought it is not the genre I usually read, nor the format - I am not a fan of e-books, but managed to read this one to the end. I found the language poetic and descriptive, and I loved that it was essentially the same story written from the points of view of two half-sisters with very different backgrounds and life experiences - to the extent that they had grown up in different countries, both thinking they were their father's only child, and knowing nothing about the other's existence. I thought that the opposing ways they reacted to situations were believable, given their circumstances, and that they eventually did manage to overcome their initial hostility and jealousy and find a way to relate to each other. I also enjoyed the way the author managed to find a convincing ending - not rose-tinted but with hope nonetheless.
