I found this to be quite a strange book. I really didn't like the way it was written. A form of prose that didn't appeal to me I'm afraid. If anything, it annoyed me that lots of page space was physically wasted. Environmentally, it was a bad choice.
I did however enjoy the storyline. Both the daughters had strong personalities which sprang from the pages. I felt I wanted to mother them both. The plane crash part was very good. I liked the way both girls reacted to the accident. I enjoyed seeing the cultural differences between the two and how different their reactions were. The author made the father appear lovable, even though he had committed a terrible crime. Both daughters tried to excuse him out of love.
Now they can move on to a new life in America. A good read.
