This book was such a delight. It is perfect for when you are having a reading slump because even though it's 300+ pages, I guarantee you that you'll finish it in less than 2 days. Maybe even in less than 1 day.
This is my first Elizabeth Acevedo book that I've ever read and I can't wait till I discover more of Elizabeth Acevedo's books as this particular book was a delight to read.
The story follows two young women, one of them lives in the Dominican republic (Camino) and the other in New York, USA (Yahaira). The only thing tat connects them is their father which they don't know until his plane crashed and died. We find out that they are sisters and one of them is not that happy to find out that her father had a second life and had to leave her every summer.
While the other sister is shocked to find out the reason why her father left her for the rest of the year every year.
