This was a book that was really easy to get into and enjoy. I finished it really quickly because once I started, I wanted to keep reading it to see what happened. I loved the message of women sticking together and seeing two young girls struggle with what they feel but also the guilt about how they should feel is really powerful. I would love to read a sequel about the sisters’ lives after the book ends and want to see how they fit into each other’s lives in the long run. It was also really interesting to see a nature vs nurture aspect as the sisters had the same father but grew up very differently and seeing how they interact and how they react to certain situations is very intriguing. The writing style was very easy to follow and it felt like I was being spoken to by the two main characters. They each had their own style as well which is especially impressive as both parts were written by the same author.
