The best thing about this book is the style in which it was written.
Set out like a book of poetry, every page was beautifully displayed.
Two sisters, one father. neither sister knew about each other until an untimely death of the father in a plane crash shone a light on their fathers double life.
Camino lives in the Dominican Republic with her aunt Tia.
Yahaira lives in New York with her mother.
Their father had been living a double life for years, and with his death, his secrets start emerging. Camino and Yahaira find out about each other, instead of blaming one another they need to learn to be united. Without their father, they would never have found each other. New hopes and dreams are now able to rise from the ashes, but the grieving has to happen first.
It was a nice story, a good follow on from The Fire On High. The author manages to paint such a colourful world, even when their is darkness present.
