Well, this was such an unexpected surprise. Clap When You Land was a beautiful tale, told in verse about family, both lost and found, survival, sisterhood, love and loss. I thoroughly enjoyed it and devoured it in one sitting, which is quite unusual for me as i normally lose focus after a 100 pages. This was my first Acevedo book and i will definitely check out her other works. Clap When You Land will make you feel things and the beautiful prose will transport you to the beautiful yet dangerous beaches of Dominican Republic. And what a journey for the mind and soul it will be. It will also teach you something, which is always a bonus when reading a good book. Thanks for my e-copy, Readers First!
