I have to admit, I find verses tedious. In my experience, they tend to disrupt the flow of the story. Because of this, I was hesitant to pick this book up. But I did and I don’t have a single regret. Clap When You Land is a masterpiece that now has pride of place on my shelf.

This was a beautifully written, powerful piece of literature that I devoured in no time at all. My initial skepticism evaporated within the first few pages.

The characters had distinct voices. Though they both had the same roots, and suffered the same tragedy, there were clear differences between them, creating contrasts I hadn’t even considered. Furthermore, they were so developed and realistic, I felt as if I knew them personally.

The poetic style carried the story perfectly from start to finish. I found it particularly moving. This is a tragically flawless read suited to absolutely everyone. Go read it!
