When I first opened the book, I was shocked to see that it was written in what appeared to be verses. I did not expect that and I am not afraid to admit that I associate verses with mandatory school reading lists and old poetry. This book is completely different so once I had got over the initial shock, I really enjoyed it. The story is well written, the theme is very contemporary (it makes me so sad to hear about things like this and I worry that something like this could happen to my loved ones), original and concise. Read in one sitting as the story just flew by and I wanted to know what happens next. The main characters are different, they live in different words and yet they have something in common. The characters were well written and I worried about them and how things would turn out for them. Overall, I can recommend this book -- perfect quick read, great story and characters and different to anything else I have read in a long time.
