This is not a book I would choose to read from the cover, it seemed quite 'cheap' with the text and background picture.
I did like the opening, an simple altercation which had a deeper story to come in the next pages and early ideas that we would follow the case evidence to find out what happened, revealing more as the story goes on.
It was the lack of warmth or personality in the characters early on which has not endeared me to this book yet, a slow burner here I think.
