I have to admit I wasn't gripped by the cover, or by the blurb. I didn't think this was going to be for me, and sadly I was right. I couldn't get into it and I found my attention wandering. I wasn't excited by the beginning, which is what I really need for me to enjoy this genre, so I won't be reading any further this time.
