This thriller is set in the corporate world in New York City. There are many characters in the story that interwine with
each other but Elizabeth Carlyle and Valencia Walker are the characters that I liked the most.
Elizabeth works as a lawyer and partner in a well known law firm that is dealing with their biggest case, a merger between two banks. Unfortunately, a junior associate's phone is stolen, which contained compromising documents that could jeopardize her case.
So she hired Valencia, an ex-CIA officer that deals with situations like this. However, their situation gets more complicated when documents are copied and leaked.
I liked that the author, Patrick Hoffman, had two strong women lead. I also liked the various shady characters and how the situation got complicated. I didn't like that to create suspense, some parts of the storyline was very slow and there were four long chapters!
Having said that, other people may find the storyline more interesting and I do think, it would make a great film.
