I loved the unusual premise of this book, that two people could fall in love without being able to touch. How many contemporary stories does that happen in? Jubilee has an extremely rare and life threatening allergy to other people and has shut herself away from the world for 9 years. Eric's teenage daughter won't talk to him and he is coping with an adopted son who is difficult to get through to. The death of Jubilee's mother forces Jubilee back out into the world and she soon meets Eric and their unusual courtship begins. The story is told by both Jubilee and Eric in alternating chapters, and this gives you both back stories and you understand why they react the way they do. They are both vulnerable and sympathetic characters and you so want things to work out for them. I really liked this book, and read it pretty much in one sitting. The only complaint I have is with the final chapter (no spoilers!) which seemed a bit rushed. Overall, though, a great read with lovely characters and lots of interest.
