I think the title of the book clearly sets the tone for the style that this book is going to follow. As a 30something year old with my own family etc, I don’t find the main character in the book relatable to myself, but I don’t think this is needed to enjoy the story.
The humour throughout the first few pages is just in the right places, with hints or modern day life such and Airbnb etc, and while the main character is obviously recovering from failed business and relationship on top of moving back to London from California, the writer has made sure the start is self pity in a funny way that you find yourself laughing at.
I would love to read the rest of this book!
