From the title and cover I was expecting a comedic book in which everything has gone wrong for the protagonist, but she's rallying and rebuilding her life with hilarious quips and circumstances. However the excerpt is mostly the character wallowing in self pity. Although I don't doubt it will pick up as the book progresses, the except didn't capture my attention enough to make me want to read further.
